Question: What are the main blockades to spiritual growth for a Christian?
Answer:The main blockade to spiritual growth for me as a Christian is sin [i] and
Emotional damage
(Emotional damage has for a great deal also to do with sin, especially the sin of unforgiveness. This sin of unforgiveness brings and keeps us in bondage of grief, resentment, bitterness and hatred. On the other hand by grief, resentment, bitterness and hatred we bind the offender in the spiritual realm)
Question: On what aspects of my life does spiritual growth has its effect?
Answer: Spiritual growth has its effect on my Spirit, Soul and Body [ii]
SIN
Question: What is sin?
Answer:Sin is everything that does not agree with the truth and principles of the Word of God! [iii].
Every sin in the end is in fact your contract with Satan that gives Satan the legal rights to attack you.
Question: What do you need to be able to realize the topic of sin?
Answer: To realize the topic of sin we need the Fear of the Lord [iv] (not the fear of the Law, legalism), so that the Holy Spirit may convince me of my sins [v]Question: Whose sins have their impact on my life?
Answer:Sins I did and still do myself [vi]
Sins my (fore) fathers did and still do [vii]
Sins of other people, they did and still do against me, Christians and non-Christians, like family (neglectfulness, negligence, carelessness, misuse, rejection, manipulation, domination, control, rape, etc.)
Sins because of fallen mankind and creation (diseases like malaria?) [viii]
Question: Can sin be inherited?
Answer: We are not guilty because of the sins of our forefathers [ix] and our parents, but we are vulnerable to those sins [x]. However, mind that there are implications or effects for the next generations. You should differentiate between 1) the punishment for the one that sinned and 2) the implications of those sins for next generations.Question: In what way can generational sins (like diseases, habits, customs and traditions) be inherited?
Answer:Genetically predisposition (diseases)
Environmentally predisposition (pornographic literature)
Spiritually predisposition (prostitution, abuse, divorce, drunkenness) [xi]
Question: What are biblical examples of sins of the forefathers that have their implications on the generations thereafter?
Answer:Abraham. To spare his life he lied twice that Sarah was his sister [xii]. Realize how Isaak and Jacob in a lot of affairs were lying or were betrayed.
King David. His sun died [xiii] and adultery by Amnon [xiv] and Absalom [xv] and family murder went on [xvi]. David was forgiven a curse came upon the descendants of David as foretold [xvii]
King Josiah [xviii]. God punished the Israelites because they had forsaken the Lord and worshipped the idols under the kings Manasseh and his son Amon [xix].
Question: What other biblical principle can be seen in the history of David?
Answer: Implications of not obeying the commandment: Honour your father and your mother [xx]. A curse automatically can come upon you [xxi]. Absalom raped a wife from his father David and fought against him to try to take the kingship from him [xxii]. Absalom was murdered himself at the end.
Question: What do you have to do when you have sinned?
Answer: I must:Question: For which type of sins, God holds me responsible and must I repent and ask forgiveness?
Answer: God holds me responsible, I must repent and ask forgiveness for:Question: Who more than I myself can be held responsible by God for a sin done unaware, unconsciously, unintentionally or out of ignorance?
Answer:Question: What can be a sin?
Answer: Witchcraft [xxxvii] and related detestable occult practices [xxxviii]Question: What does God say about detestable occult practices as witchcraft?
Answer: You are not allowed to do detestable practices as witchcraft. The LORD your God has not permitted you to do so [xxxix]Question: Can I, as a Christian, visit a traditional doctor?
Answer: The power of the traditional doctor does not originate from the God of Abraham and his Son Jesus. The traditional doctor is an example of an occult medium [xl]. The traditional doctor takes his power from an occult source, witchcraft. And as I am not allowed to take power from witchcraft, I shall not go to a traditional doctor [xli]. I am no longer protected because I sin. Every sin gives Satan legal rights to attack me. I defile myself and shall surely come under demonic power [xlii]. The Blood of Jesus no longer protects me on this sinful aspect of my life.Question: But I know somebody that was healed by visiting a traditional doctor (“traditional doctor” is in Cameroon the name for a witchcraft doctor).
Answer: Satan can heal. He is the ape of God. It is not the result that matters, but the source of the power that wrought the healing is wrong and has defiled you [xliii]. It is the job of satan to bind you to him and his practices. He also uses the method of healing for that purpose.Question: I have visited a traditional doctor, what shall I do?
Answer: You have defiled yourself, by visiting a traditional doctor (“traditional doctor” is in Cameroon the name for a witchcraft doctor). It is sin according to the word of God to visit somebody who practices divination [xliv]. Your Godly protection is in danger. Repent, ask forgiveness [xlv] and let you be set free from demonic influence by a qualified counselor.Question: Can I visit a funeral and may I speak or pray to the dead person? May I later pray on the graves?
Answer: Many funerals have occult practices and ceremonies. Food can be provided that has been consecrated to the devil and where the power of witchcraft is used. You defile yourself by visiting that funeral. On funerals is often prayed and spoken to the death person [xlvi]. You are not allowed to speak and communicate with dead people [xlvii]. By doing this you try to contact demonic spirits and may come under their influence. God therefore also forbids praying to dead people on graves. You defile yourself.Question: Can I visit my clan every year for a traditional meeting?
Answer: If God sends me for a reason, I must go. On the other hand I must question what a Christian has in common with a non-Christian [xlviii]? If I will be free I must separate from the family clan. If God has not given me an order to visit the clan meeting I should not visit it. What can I share? What do I share? Is it spiritual healthy what I would share? Does a visit bring me nearer to Christ? Does it give me a better understanding of the character of God? If not, I will defile myself. Ask yourself such questions.Question: Is it dangerous to have objects in my home, like souvenirs, certain non-Christian books or images?
Answer: If you have detestable objects in your house you are in danger. You and your house can come under a curse or other demonic influence [xlix]Question: What shall I do when I have detestable objects in my home?
Answer: You shall not have detestable objects in your home. You must confess your sins and destroy the objects [l]Question: Do the sins of my forefathers do have impact on my life?
Answer: God will punish the children for the sins of the fathers [li]Question: How can I be set free from the guilt because of the wickedness, sins and (generational) curses of my (fore) fathers?
Answer: I can be set free from the guilt because of the sins and curses of my (fore) fathers by repenting and confessing in their place. Ask God forgiveness for the wickedness and sins of your forefathers in their place [lii]. For the next step Jesus gives you supernatural power to break the contracts with satan and be set free from diseases, curses, unclean spirits and demonic influence working through the generations. Ask a counselor to help you through this process.Question: How shall I relate to my family and friends if they are unbelievers?
Answer: If my family and friends are unbelievers I must ask God for wisdom how to handle. I some cases I must separate [liii] from them if their influence on me is not healthy for my spiritual growth. The word of God says that I must separate [liv] and purify myself from everything that contaminates my body and my spirit [lv].Question: How can I let people know that I am a follower of Jesus Christ?
Answer: People can see that I am a Christian if we love one another [lvi].

HEALING OF DAMAGED EMOTIONS AND HURTS
Introduction:
God does wants to heal you after 1) spirit, 2) soul and 3) body, not only after spirit.
Key number one: Jesus went on the cross for your emotional damage and not only for your sins [lviii]. He was rejected, despised, spiritually and physically ill treated and died for your burden and pain! He already suffered for you, so that you no longer have to carry your emotional burdens yourself.
Key number two: Forgiving [lix] is the solution [lx] for being healed of your emotional hurts and damage and the painful thoughts that come with those hurts. Healing of emotions and hurts in fact is based on repenting from the sins of unforgiveness and hatred.
Bitterness, grief and resentment can get hold on you and become in a later stadium harshness and hate.
Unforgiveness keeps you in bondage with the people and circumstances that hurt you in the past
Unforgiveness or not to forgive is sin [lxi].
God can not forgive you, if you do not forgive men [lxii].
The result of the sins from people and your family against you, may be that you produce new sins against:
yourself (like inner vows) and
the people that sinned against you.
These sins from people and your family against you have their effects on your:
Spiritual system
Mind system and intellectual functioning
Social behavior patterns
Emotional behavior patterns and
Physical functions as a living creature made after the image of God.
The pains did in an unhealthy way adapt you and bent down to people and circumstances.
It takes time to be healed of the effects of the hurts on your spirit, soul and body.
God wants to change you in the person he has made after his image.
There is much power in confessing your sins [lxiii], repenting, forgiving [lxiv] and blessing [lxv]
Forgiving is a process and starts with an act of your will from out of your soul.
The process of forgiving should go on till it comes from out of your heart on a spiritual level [lxvi].
The power of God will be set free due to the work of Jesus on the Cross for you [lxvii].
Healing of emotions comes when you forgive the persons that have sinned against you and confess your sins out of your (sinful) reactions to others who sinned against you.
If possible and appropriate make your excuses or ask forgiveness to the people to whom you reacted sinful.
Healing of emotions is also healing of relationships [lxviii].
Clean your heart from bitterness, grief, resentment, harshness and hate, called the works of the flesh [lxix], so that you are no longer bound to people and circumstances, that hurt you. If you do not your soul will be poisoned and at the end your body will be ill [lxx]. By this cleansing you also give free in the spiritual world the people that you have bound to you because of your sin of unforgiveness.
Solutions:
Forgive [lxxi] the offender for his sin done to you.
Bless the perpetrator [lxxii].
Repent and ask God forgiveness for your sinful reaction against the offender (perpetrator) [lxxiii].
If it is possible and appropriate make your excuses to the offender and ask forgiveness for your sinful reactions against him or her [lxxiv].
Try to find and name your hurts and pains and ask Jesus to take them from you [lxxv].
Start to seek and find out your bad and non-biblical thinking and speaking patterns due to your hurts.
Name them as soon as they come up.
Use the power that is in the word of God and learn the practice of proclamation.
Come against 1) spiritual attacks, 2) bad thinking and 3) non-biblical speaking patterns and reject them in Jesus name.
Control your mind [lxxvi] and place or proclaim the positive thinking or speaking patterns instead of the negative patterns.
Proclaim against the powers of darkness that try to keep hold of your mind [lxxvii].
God and his Son will do the healing work and the Holy Ghost will help remember you.

Advice: Read all the following verses in their context!
i[ ] Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. For your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with guilt. Your lips have spoken lies, and your tongue mutters wicked things. No-one calls for justice; no-one pleads his case with integrity. They rely on empty arguments and speak lies; they conceive trouble and give birth to evil. They hatch the eggs of vipers and spin a spider’s web. Whoever eats their eggs will die, and when one is broken, an adder is hatched. Their cobwebs are useless for clothing; they cannot cover themselves with what they make. Their deeds are evil deeds, and acts of violence are in their hands. Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are evil thoughts; ruin and destruction mark their ways. The way of peace they do not know; there is no justice in their paths. They have turned them into crooked roads; no-one who walks in them will know peace. So justice is far from us, and righteousness does not reach us. We look for light, but all is darkness; for brightness, but we walk in deep shadows. (Isaiah 59:1-9 NIV)

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law. The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. (Galatians 5:16-26 NIV)

Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.
